Blog Hop -- Day 1, Christmas Traditions

Head on over to In A Pinch Designs Blog to see what Sheri and Judy posted on day one... and why!

We thought we would get this week started by "getting you in the mood" thinking Christmas!! Leave a comment on their blog about your favourite Christmas morning tradition and you will be entered into a prize draw!

Have fun this week.... Tomorrow there will be a challenge posted on the Simply Scrapping Blog .... LOTS more to come!

In the spirit of In A Pinch's blog post: I always love the cookies out for Santa thing. The hubby and I would get out a plate and a glass and the kid would place an absurd amount of cookies (and baby carrots for the reindeer) on the plate and expect Santa to eat them all. We always made sure we left a half eaten cookie and crumbs along with a few nibbled carrots for "proof" of the visit along with a hand written thank you note addressed to Emily that went something like this: Merry Christmas Emily. Thank you so much for the little treats. The Reindeer and I really loved them. We especially loved the hot cocoa on such a cold night. Love Santa.
Yes. The letter thanked her for Hot Cocoa. One year, after Emily's insisting, I painted a "Santa Pot" - a special pot just so Santa could have a nice cup of Hot Chocolate when he visited our house. The idea being that everyone leaves him milk and cookies- but it's cold outside and he is in an open sleigh..... we should warm him up! LOL. Ahhhhh kids. Gotta Love them :)
Can't wait to read your favourite Christmas traditions on the Pinch Blog.
Until tomorrow.....
