Playing with some Twinkling things.....

I had a lovely evening play with some twinkling products on USTREAM!
An order arrived at the studio today with some liquid Frisket and I had to play with it and the fineliners too.  You know, see if they work *wink* ..  and oh YES!!   I love the result!

I doodled with the frisket and then, once dry, painted over it with splashes of luscious colour (with Twinks and Silks from LuminArte)  So shiny.   LOVE IT

This is a page in progress, but here's the embedded link to tonight broadcast.   Enjoy!

Going to be painting tomorrow (Saturday) with some girls coming in for our "release" painting class.  I'll try to remember to take some pics. *smile*

Have a CREATIVE day!

Loved what I created for the magazine using resin, some of the new Spellbinders Media Mixage line, and some paper and paints too!  There are three projects for the issue using the bezels and the matching dies (a card, canvas and pendant necklace).  And not one, but Two step outs for you too!

I hope you pick up your copy today (also ONLINE) abd ENJOY!
Look for a supplement video on using resin and bezels later this week posted here and on the Canadian Scrapbooker website!!!  *wink*

Linda's "Cast Art" - USTREAM Broadast

I received an email yesterday from Linda Kittmer asking if I'd be interested in having a new/different "canvas" to paint on during my Friday evening Broadcast....   she broke her wrist in a cycling accident and had a white fibreglass cast begging for (as she called) a Karen original.  LOL  I thought that was hilarious!  Not that she hurt herself...   but that she wanted me to paint her cast online.   hehehe...   it HAD to be done!

What a wonderful evening painting a rounded, ATTACHED to something canvas. :)THANK YOU Linda for the suggestion and coming in and letting me play.

Here is the video link of the broadcast!  Thanks to all who joined us tonight.   ENJOY

Painting and Streaming.....

I had so much fun being back "on air" via USTREAM last night.    I missed you guys!!

I just needed to paint - and paint I did.

This is a 24x36 stretched canvas I painted using acrylic paints, montana paint pens and a little bit of Silks too!

There were technical difficulties on USTREAM last night - I was booted once and there were big lags BUT it was still very fun to just PAINT!

Thank you to all who joined me live.

Next week at the studio:   Tuesday 1pm I will be teaching "Do More of What Makes You Happy 2" (with photo transfers and words).  If you'd like to join us, you are welcome.  Simply email me to let you know you'd like to attend.

Thursday is Journal Night.   Space is available for this evening's gathering.  Please let me know if you are coming -- so I can make sure there is ample table space for all *smile*

Have a creative weekend!
