This Saturday October 4 is National Card Making Day!

The ladies over at Treasured Memories, Edmonton, posted about accepting Thank You Cards for this fabulous organization on National Card Making Day this weekend. I thought it was a wonderful idea, was thrilled to be introduced to QOV and am excited to extend this offer to you at the studio too!

Please bring a hand made Thank You card to donate to "Quilts Of Valour" and receive 10% off. The cards will be given, as a Thank You, to the awesome people who make and donate quilts to injured military and veterans across Canada. Please make your cards blank on the inside and for either male or female.

For more information about Quilts of Valour, please check out their website. Happy Card Making!

Love this Gelli Town by Patricia

Patricia rocks my world!
Take a peek at her "Gelli Town", a gelli print collage, created in a class at the studio recently!   LOVE this.

Each town is so different.  They are truly one of a kind like the gelli printed papers themselves.

I made a smaller 8x8 version in class yesterday with the girls.
Here's what my new sample looks like (the one I am taking to BC with me when I teach out there in November!)

Have a creative day everyone.
Sorry, no broadcast tonight.  Have other things I HAVE to accomplish today and won't have a chance to create anything on air today.   I broadcast again next week FOR SURE!

Gelli-towns are inspired by Karen Eckmeier's Happy Villages quilts and taught with permission as a Gelli Printing class. They are lots of fun!   Be sure to check out Karen's quilt pattern in her recently re-printed book - Happy Villages.

Using Gelatos - Make N Take for ScrapFest Richmond Hill (Video)

I am looking forward to heading to Richmond Hill on Saturday September 27 for ScrapFest!

I will be there representing, not only myself and the studio, but the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine!  I am honoured to write a column for Canada's paper crafting magazine and they have arranged to have me at ScrapFest to teach some "Technique Tasters".  Technique Tasters are free mini classes held in the Canadian Scrapbooker booth on the show floor.   They are samples of techniques that have and will be (hint hint) in the Magazine.  Gotta love that!

This fall I will be teaching TWO tasters.  I sneak peeked one in my last blog post -- here is the other AND, because it was on my desk, I took the opportunity to create my show samples on USTREAM.tv broadcast this week.  Here's that video and I hope to see you in the mini classes at ScrapFest!
