"Time flies when you texturize".... USTREAM recap

LOL...  I still can't believe that came out of my mouth while on USTREAM broadcasting live last night.  LOL.  Crazy Crazy!!

I can't tell you how much fun I had simply creating again for the first time in weeks.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY missed it!

I was inspired by a youtube video posted by RachO113  - she totally got my juices flowing again after my creative (moving) hiatus.   My hands are STILL gluey.  *smile*   I am itching to create some more but I have to wait

 This morning I came into the studio to finish the piece.   I built up the left corner with some texture paste and added another cat, a lamp post and some spider embellishments and then went over them all with the silks and layered more UTEE too.   You might notice that I added some gold coloured UTEE to the canvas which, in my opinion, helped make it pop!

I added some words - "There's something strange in the neighbourhood"  (any Ghostbuster's fans out there? *wink*)  I thought it was fitting .... *smile*

Hope you like!   I put it in my front window display.....

The Art House Challenge.... Some more returned Canvases

It's so exciting when a new canvas arrives at the studio!  I LOVE them and am priviledged to share

here are 4 more that arrived throughout our move to Cambridge

 Nancy was so thrilled I was moving to her neighbourhood she created a canvas about the studio being "just around the corner" =  created by Nancy from Cambridge

Here's one from texture loving Deb who is also from Cambridge -- Loving the Burlap!!

Elizabeth from Bolton created this sunny one that made me smile.  Love the stencil work AND ..  see the computer mother board tucked away in the house?   She added that in honour of my geeky hubby (hehehe)  Love it! 

And rounding out this post -- Love this waxy finished creation by Joanne from North Bay.  I wish you could see (and feel) this canvas in person.  The colour just POPS!!  Fabulous!

These canvases and other are displayed in the studio -- I hope you get a chance to come and see them in person soon.

It's official...

We have a NEW HOME!!   ...and I couldn't be happier!

We are now open at 40 Ainslie St North, Cambridge (Downtown Galt)
Tuesday - Thursday 11 - 5
Friday 11 - 8
Saturday 10 - 4

The phone number changed - 519 267 6620
but email and website addresses have remained the same.  Fabulous!!

I still have the keys to our Lancaster St location until the end of the month.  I've decided to have a
GARAGE SALE this SUNDAY September 30 from 11 - 2:30
at our  Kitchener studio (591 Lancaster St)

I'll be selling all the wood stamps that were on the back wall (and some from my personal stash too), some inks, paints, any odds and sods (both new and used) that I didn't want to move to the new location.  Even some of my displayed art!  There are tables full of goodies.  Hope you can drop by and check it out.  This will be a CASH ONLY sale.

A "Soft" Opening?

YES!!   I am going into the NEW STUDIO tomorrow and am opening the doors for a soft opening at our new Cambridge location at 11am.

THE NEW STUDIO ADDRESS IS:
40 Ainslie St. North
Cambridge, ON N1R 3J5

There is street parking on Ainslie and Dickson streets and lot parking on Dickson, across the street at the farmer's market and a block away on Water Street.

PLEASE NOTE -- I am still in the process of moving.  The studio and retail area has been cleaned up and is ready to welcome people, the behind the scenes is not *smile*  AND....   I have lots of decorating to do (that's the FUN part!!!)

My Visa and Debit machine *soon to be MC too*, has not been activated yet -- so please note that until Rogers gets their act together (insert eyeroll here) sales will be CASH ONLY.   I hope to have that all sorted out this weekend but you never know......

Are we done yet?

Nope -- but I see the light!!   We have slatwall today, the display units are going up and we are starting to place some product on the shelves!  Yahoo!

We are on track for a soft open at the NEW CAMBRIDGE LOCATION on Friday. Hurray!

Look here's Jen cleaning out the white shelves  ...  her hubby was in today to help with trims.  So exciting.

And it's official -- the MOVE IS ON **UPDATED**

I will be in the studio today for a couple of hours BUT I will be closing for the official move TOMORROW!!

The online store is open and will continue to ship but please note that shipping may be delayed due to the move.  I will be sure to keep you updated about shipping as orders are processed.
We hope to open the doors to the new studio by Friday September 21!!

The first "Art House" came in today!

Isn't this 6x12 Art House canvas created for my new studio challenge the cutest!!!   Way to go Regan!

This is the first time Regan mounted one of her creations on a stretched canvas!  She is a sewer and a scrapbook and card maker at heart but I see a new addiction brewing!  This is super fabulous!

Studio Closed Today

Hi all...  I'm heading over to the new studio today to get keys, permits and meet with painters, etc so the Kitchener studio will be closed today.
