My husband and I took the kid (and some of her friends) to her first Rocky Horror experience at a local theatre tonight. Hubby was a great sport.... Check out those legs! LOL

Emily went as "Brad" and raided his closet, Kevin went as a "Guest" and raided hers! What you can't see are my heels! *wink*

Stencil Magic

This is a GREAT little plaque but don't forget to try this technique in your art journals and scrapbooks. It will DEFINATELY work on paper... and what about chipboard embellishments... ooooo.. the possibilities are endless!!

I had a great weekend with some fabulous crafty people!!

Friday night was spent with a giggly group of gals creating in the studio and skyping with another crafty friend from Alberta. Saturday I was treated to some more crafty time with another group of amazing gals and THEN I had the opportunity to go into Toronto to meet up with the Canadian Scrapbooker team and work at the CreativFestival on Sunday. Pretty GREAT weekend if you ask me!!

It was wonderful to see so many people I knew at the show. One of those people was Keitha. We had a great chat and she told me about a Halloween project she created this week -- a Halloween Configurations Box. Take a look at this!!

I had a wonderful time at ScrapFest this weekend! Thank you to my daughter Emily, Sue and Paula Phillips (journal artista) for helping me in the booth and making the weekend go so well.

THANK YOU ALSO TO ALL THOSE WHO TOOK MY IN-BOOTH CLASSES! You were a joy to teach! I love sharing new ideas with people and made my weekend extra special!! I love meeting new creative people and seeing those who return as well!!! What a great community! I have a GREAT reason to NEED a new "mug shot"!!

I will be starting my new gig as a contributing writer for the Canadian Scrapbooker magazine in the Winter 2011 issue (on shelves at the end of November) YAY!! I'm so excited! My section is called "A Scrapbooker's Gift" and will be a series of articles dedicated to creating gifts (for ourselves and others) using stuff from our crafting stash. What fun! I hope you like!!

Anyway.... I needed a new pic for the website and magazine -- so I called Holly......

We trotted around Uptown Waterloo with Holly's ladder in tow and here are a few of the shots she took. Thanks Holly!! They're perfect.... Now which photo shall I choose? (more are on a disk - how fabulous is that?)
